WATCH: Salma Hayek Gets ‘Arrested’ at Sabrina Carpenter’s London Show
Sabrina Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet Tour has been packed with viral moments, but nothing quite tops superstar Salma Hayek getting “arrested” for being too gorgeous. Yes, you read that right.
Salma Hayek & Sabrina Carpenter: An Unexpected Duo
During Carpenter’s March 10 show at London’s O2 Arena, the singer spotted Salma Hayek in the crowd and couldn’t contain her excitement.
“Oh, my goodness. Who is this woman in the front?” Carpenter said, pretending to be overwhelmed by Hayek’s beauty. “I need some of that. For real. Wow, you are so gorgeous.”
As the crowd erupted, Carpenter doubled down. “It’s crazy ‘cause I just met you, but I’m already in love with you, and I feel like we’re kind of destined. I’m getting hot because you’re there.”
And just like that, Carpenter’s long dress “fell off” into a mini-skirt, and she debuted a pair of Union Jack boots, much to the crowd’s delight. “You see what you do to me, Salma?” she joked before launching into her fan-favorite track Juno.
The ‘Arrest’ That Broke the Internet
A staple of Carpenter’s tour is picking a fan (or, occasionally, a celeb) to “arrest” for being too hot. Past “offenders” include Millie Bobby Brown, Jack Antonoff, and Marcello Hernandez—but this time, Hayek was the one getting the pink fuzzy handcuffs.
The audience loved the moment, and the internet went wild.
Salma Hayek Joins a Star-Studded Audience
Hayek wasn’t the only A-lister in attendance. Emma Bunton (aka Baby Spice) was “arrested” the night before, with Carpenter telling her, “You’re kind of spicing up my life a little bit.” And on top of that? Janet Jackson was also spotted in the crowd, later posting on Facebook, “What a fun show! We enjoyed you.”
Sabrina Carpenter’s London Takeover
The London crowd wasn’t just treated to surprise celebrity cameos—Carpenter made sure to bring major British energyto her performance. From her Union Jack-inspired outfit to an unexpected cover of “Come On Eileen” by Dexys Midnight Runners, the pop star fully embraced her UK audience.
Reflecting on the two-night stint at London’s O2 Arena, Carpenter shared on Instagram:
“London, the last two nights at the @theo2london felt like such a little British dream. I opened there when I was 18 and it’s been my goal ever since to come back and play my own shows. Then you not only sold them out but you also made my album number 1 in the UK again while I was there.”
“What did I do to deserve ya? Thank you to everyone who came and sang so loud. And special thank you to my iconic Juno girls, Salma + Baby Spice.”
The Tour Continues—And It’s Just Getting Started
Carpenter’s Short N’ Sweet Tour has been filled with unforgettable moments, but Salma Hayek’s “arrest” might just be the most iconic yet. The tour continues with dates worldwide—including a highly anticipated Halloween show at Madison Square Garden.
With each stop bringing a new viral moment, we can’t help but wonder—who’s getting arrested next?
