Selena Gomez Might’ve Found a Love that Matches Her Energy, Claims She’s at Her ‘Happiest’
For many years, Selena Gomez has been pinned as “high maintenance” for not settling in her relationships. But it seems like the “Only Murders in the Building” star has finally found her match.
On December 7, the singer and actress was seen all cuddled up next to her new beau, Benny Blanco, in her Instagram Stories. Then, responding to screenshots circulating social media, she said “He is my absolute everything in my heart.” We’re here for it!
Going back to Gomez’s ever-so-famous Sirius XM radio appearance, we’re wondering if Blanco matches the “standards” she was hoping for. After all, it looks like romance is still alive, and well. Plus she says she’s happier than ever.

Back in September, Gomez shamelessly admitted that she had specific standards when it came to dating. She referred to the lyrics of her song “Single Soon,” where she calls herself “high-maintenance.”
“The line was really fun because I’m not ashamed to say, ‘I actually require X, Y, and Z for you to be with me,'” she told Sirius XM. “So in a way, it was just meant to be for the attitude of the song, and that’s genuinely what I feel.”
When asked what it was she meant by this, the star explained.
“You gotta be cool, man. Not cool in the sense that people think you’re cool,” she said. “You just gotta be nice and like, please make me laugh and also just be good to my family and people around you.”
And it looks like she manifested that right up with her new boyfriend. The Rare Beauty founder is also defending her love fiercely. Clapping back at haters online.
“Why has he been the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” she commented.”He’s still better than anyone I’ve ever been with.”
The 31-year-old also added that this is her “happiest.” Telling her shamers she won’t let them “guide” her life.
“Feel free to say whatever you want,” she added. “But I will never allow your words to guide my life. Ever. I’m done. If you can’t accept me at my happiest then don’t be in [my] life at all.”
Blanco is a record producer and reportedly started dating Gomez in October
According to E! Online, Gomez and Blanco started dating back in October. The record producer, also known by his full name, Benjamin Joseph Levin, attended her Rare Impact fund benefit on October 4.
So, who is the 35-year-old and how did he win Gomez’s heart?
According to Page Six, the duo first met in 2015 after working together on “Same Old Love.” Blanco is a music producer and songwriter. He has worked alongside A-list names such as Britney Spears, Rihanna and Ed Sheeran. Also, he does a bit of singing himself.
Even more, Blanco is the owner of two record labels, Mad Love Records and Friends Keep Secrets. Not too shabby, Selena!
