Rihanna’s New Perfume Ad Features Miss Argentina and Miss Puerto Rico’s Love Story
Rihanna is back in the ring — and she’s back with a bang! The Barbados singer returned to the stage at the Super Bowl halftime show while launching a new campaign for her perfume. The new Fenty perfume ad tells the beautiful love story of married beauty queens Mariana Varela (Miss Argentina) and Fabiola Valentin (Miss Puerto Rico), who decided to say their vows last November.
But it’s not just any campaign.

Varela and Valentín surprised the whole world by breaking with a pattern that has sustained the beauty pageant industry for decades. The women considered two of the most beautiful women in the world had eyes for no man but each other.
After dating in secret for two years, last November, the couple shared on Instagram their love story.
“After deciding to keep our relationship private, we opened the doors to them on a special day,” they wrote in their joint Instagram post.
But little did we know about the Latinas’ deep love for each other.
The Fenty Eau de Parfum ad gave them the platform to narrate in a voiceover how they met at a beauty pageant where a beautiful friendship emerged.
“That’s when the connection was born, and we became practically inseparable,” Varela and Valentin tell between displays of affection. “The details brought us together little by little, transforming into a beautiful friendship that, to this day, we maintain even more as wives and couple.”
“It’s magical to find such a person in life,” they add.
The wives finally describe the new perfume as having “woody tones” and “sweet but soft at the same time” — perhaps like love itself.
